Abstract

The predictive control strategy is one of the most powerful methods of control for power electronics. In this paper addition to novel design of a control model with the aid this strategy for a Neutral Point Clamped Inverter with Quasi Impedance-Source network in wind power system based on Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator, there has also been implemented. There are a number of variables and parameters related to the research carried out in this paper that are considered as control objectives and controller are designed for them. These parameters include: load current, inductor current and capacitor voltage. The control objectives are placed in a Cost Function after modeling of the prediction of the future behavior and after minimizing it is applied to the converters' power switches in order to control of the system. The simulation tests indicate, with MATLAB toolbox and also experimentally, the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed controller.
