Analyzing the Impact and Optimization of Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Stations in Power Distribution Systems
Main Article Content
Abstract
The integration of Electrical Vehicles (EVs) into the transportation sector has prompted significant advancements in power distribution networks, particularly in the installation of fast charging stations (FCS). The rapid adoption of EVs presents challenges and opportunities for the existing power infrastructure. This paper explores the optimal planning of EV fast charging stations (FCS) in electrical distribution systems and assesses the potential impacts on power quality, reliability, and the overall grid. A combination of mathematical models, simulation tools, and case studies are employed to evaluate the effects of different planning strategies. The findings highlight the importance of strategic planning to minimize grid congestion, optimize voltage profiles, and ensure cost-effective operation.
