Abstract

Phytomedicines are considered to provide advantages over traditional pharmaceuticals and are seeing a resurgence in contemporary study. Moringa oleifera is a versatile herbal plant used for human consumption and as an alternative for therapeutic applications throughout. Researchers have recognized it as a plant with many health benefits, including both nutritional and therapeutic properties. Moringa oleifera comprises vital amino acids, carotenoids in its leaves, and compounds with nutraceutical attributes, reinforcing the proposition of using this plant as a nutritional supplement or ingredient in culinary applications. Nutritional assessment has been conducted on leaves and stems. A significant component contributing to the medical applications of Moringa oleifera is its extensive array of essential antioxidants, antibiotics, and nutrients, including vitamins and minerals. Nearly all components of Moringa may be used as a source of nourishment along with other beneficial properties. This mini-review elucidates the specifics of its health advantages.
