Identification of Drivers and their Relationship for Sustainable Lean Practices Using ISM for Indian MSMES

Abstract

Purpose: Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of any economy. Indian MSMEs are also getting ready to contribute vitally to the growth through Aatm Nirbhar Bharat Program. Therefore, it is necessary for MSMEs to adopt sustainable lean practices which fulfills the requirements of growth and environment.

Design and methodology: In this paper drivers of sustainable lean practices are identified through literature, brain storming and experts view point and how these drivers are influencing each other is discussed by using the Interpretive structural modelling (ISM) approach.

Findings: Drivers of sustainable lean practices have been identified and relationship between them has been identified.
