Abstract

This paper presents the modeling and control of two techniques for the induction machine "IM": a chattering-free Sliding Mode Controller based on Integrated Control (SMIC) and a PI based control technique. Input/output linearization will be used to ensure a decoupled control of the different outputs as well as the stability of the system. The proposed approach is designed for improving the system stability, behaviour and performance. The SMIC yield more accuracy and reduces the chattering resulting from the high frequency control switching. The controller performance is demonstrated via result of simulation in which the proposed controller effectiveness is compared to conventional PI.
