Abstract

This study investigated the potential of social media platforms to enhance student engagement and learning experiences in higher education. Researchers employed focus groups to gather insights from educators and students across diverse disciplines. The findings highlight the perceived value of social media in fostering a more connected and interactive learning environment. Participants emphasized benefits such as collaborative learning opportunities, real-time communication, and increased access to relevant information. Social media was also seen as a potential tool for promoting dynamic and adaptable educational approaches. However, the study acknowledges limitations, including potential selection bias and a relatively small sample size. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of social media integration on student learning outcomes, employing a larger and more diverse participant pool.
