Investigating and Determining the Type and Intensity of the Relationships of Individual Factors Affecting Entrepreneurial Behavior with the Opportunity Recognition Approach in Entrepreneurial Organizations

Abstract

Nowadays, entrepreneurial organizations which are built on the basis of value-creating people, grow with challenges, find new opportunities and stay ahead of the wave of changes. Therefore, it is very important to identify, attract and cultivate people with special characteristics in order to opportunities recognition and value creation. This research was carried out with the aim of identify individual factors affecting entrepreneurial behavior of opportunity recognition in entrepreneurial organizations and subsequently Determining the type of relationships and their intensity, finally designing the model. This study was an applied study with a mixed-method approach in field study. Theme analysis was used in the qualitative approach, and the descriptive survey method was quantitative. For data gathering in the qualitative part, document study, inference, and researcher’s impressions were used. In the following, a semi-structured interview with selected experts was conducted. The subject was extracted and classified. The data were analyzed using the qualitative methods of theme analysis. The researcher made a questionnaire to collect data in the quantitative part, and data was analyzed using Confirmatory and exploratory factor analysis. The qualitative population consisted of Active experts of the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem, who were purposefully selected, and 18 interviews were conducted. In the quantitative part, according to the Cochran formula, a sample of 150 people was selected as the statistical sample of Alborz province entrepreneurs. In the qualitative part, theme analysis was used, and in the quantitative part, after collecting the data, the questionnaires were processed using SPSS software based on questions. The results of the Pearson correlation matrix showed that there is a direct and meaningful relationship between all variables, and the strongest direct correlation is between the factors of " organizational motivation & expectations" and "creativity & innovation" and the weakest is between of " organizational Knowledge & learning " and "critical & interactive" factors.
