Abstract

This research paper addresses the escalating security concerns within the Internet of Things (IoT) by focusing on authentication and access control mechanisms. We explore various challenges unique to IoT, such as scalability and device diversity, and review both traditional and advanced security measures. The paper highlights innovative authentication techniques and access control models like RBAC and ABAC, demonstrating their effectiveness through practical case studies in sectors like healthcare and smart home technology.
