Abstract

As a young social group, college students are crucial human resources for the country and constitute the primary force in implementing the strategy of strengthening the country through human resources development in China. Against the backdrop of higher education reform and innovation, it has become an inevitable trend to provide career planning education for college students. To this end, this study targets four universities in a specific region and analyzes the current status of career planning education among college students in these institutions through questionnaires. Based on this analysis, the PERMA model is utilized to explore issues existing in the current career planning education for Chinese college students from five dimensions: self-major cognition, content of career planning education, interpersonal relationship building, positive meaning identification, and educational teaching evaluation. Furthermore, corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed, aiming to provide a reference for enhancing career planning education for college students in China
